    SafePay escrow
    protects every deal.

Your payment goes to SafePay Nordic, not to the seller, and stays held in escrow until the watch is with you and you have had time to check it.

Where your money is, at every stage.

Follow one deal from payment to payout. Select a stage, or let it play.

The watch travels separately from the money

The buyer pays the full amount to SafePay Nordic. The seller never receives the money directly.

    Who holds your payment?

SafePay Nordic holds your payment in escrow.

SafePay Nordic is our payment partner. The buyer pays them, and they hold the amount in escrow until release or refund under the deal rules.

SafePay Nordic holds the funds while the deal runs. Release from escrow happens before the payout reaches the seller's bank account.

    Meet SafePay Nordic

SafePay Nordic is the Danish payment institution behind the escrow on every Watchport deal. It receives the buyer's payment, holds the amount on a dedicated safeguarding account, kept separate from both parties and from Watchport, and releases it only when the deal rules are met.

SafePay Nordic ApS, CVR 42921572, is licensed as a payment institution and supervised by the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet), with its licence first granted in June 2022.

A payment institution is not a bank, and escrow holding is not bank-deposit insurance. It means your money is held separately and only moves under the agreed deal rules.

    Before you buy

    What to expect at checkout

Three moments from the real flow, so there are no surprises when you buy.

While a payment is pending, the watch stays reserved for you and the seller is not paid. Bank transfers can take a few working days to arrive, and your order page updates by itself as soon as SafePay confirms the funds.

    When is the payment released?

The seller is only paid once you have received the watch. When you buy from a private seller, you also have 48 hours to check the watch.

    48 hours
to check the watch on private sales, counted from delivery.

Approve early, or do nothing and the payment is released when the 48 hours end. Report a problem in time and the payment stays held until the case is closed. Dealer sales are paid on delivery and give you a 14-day right of withdrawal.

    Something isn't right?

From the moment the payment is confirmed, the full amount is held. Nothing is paid out while the watch is being packed, shipped and tracked.

    What if something isn't right?

Report a problem from your order. On private sales, a report within the 48 hours pauses the release. The money stays held with SafePay Nordic while the case is open.

Report it from your order. On private sales, report within the 48 hours to pause the release; the payment stays held with SafePay Nordic while the case is open.

    Where you report it
On your order page, in the Need help? card: Report a problem with this watch. It opens a short form, no email needed.
    What is asked for
What the issue is (not the watch you bought, condition not as described, doubts about authenticity, damage, or something else), the serial number on the watch you received typed in or as a clear photo, and a description if you want to add one.
    What happens to the payment
The case is opened straight away and any pending release is paused while the case is open.
Who reviews it and how you hear back
The seller is notified and has 72 hours to respond, either by accepting a return or by offering a partial refund. If they do not respond, the Watchport team takes the case over. Updates appear on your order page, where you can accept or decline a partial-refund offer.
    If a return is agreed
When the seller accepts a return, you send the watch back and the payment is refunded in full once it arrives. We contact you with the return details.
